I’m Still Here..But Not For Long
Because of a lot of spam issues, I may be moving the site another location. Another reason why I might be moving is because I have changed direction in the way I’m using technology. Though I do some web design, most of my experience has been with music technology.
More information will be on the way, but if I was to change the site location, the Twitter and email would stay the same.

Web Project Lost – But a Learning Experience
If you’ve read my bio, you would know that I was working on a film festival site. That project took about 6 months to complete (I went through 20 designs, so it took awhile). The reason for was because there was a horrible virus that took out my entire computer, and it also put malicious coding into the site I was updating. The site was unlisted fro Google and said “This site may harm your computer.” Not good for promotions.
I’m a very mad, but at the same time, there’s no argument. They wouldn’t be good executive producers if they let this issue go unnoticed. It’s not that I’m a bad designer, it’s that the damage is too big for the client to wipe the slate clean.
In addition to that, I also went along with the project even when they told me they were sticking with the original design. Bad Idea. If your client says stop designing, STOP designing. It doesn’t matter if you’re half way or one word away, or if it took you 3 months or 3 minutes. All you will do is hurt yourself when you realize your hard work is wasted.
I’m not trying to be on the emotional side, but I don’t want others trying to make the same mistake I did. You will not the like outcome.

Listen Up: Now is NOT the time for a virus
Listen up computer users: You don’t want to mess around with viruses. Not that any of us actually want a virus, but many people are not very concerned about them. Reading numerous articles about the new viruses and their strength, I highly recommend you have current virus software on your computer. I highly stress the word “current,” because Norton 2004 isn’t going to cut it.
You don’t have to go on inappropriate sites or use P2P software to pick up a virus. Some Facebook applications are reported to have Rouge-viruses contained in them. Let’s de-geek that for a second. These viruses make themselves look like actual Windows applications or notifications, but are fake and just cause a lot of problems for your computer. The Rouge viruses I’ve dealt with can affect Task Manager (which prevents you from attempting to stop the virus), Windows Firewall, and your start menu. The worst part is that they are getting more difficult to remove, and can very important system files on your computer, which can really cause problems.
The economy is trying to repair itself, but it’s still not a good time for getting repairs done. You won’t believe how much money it costs to get PCs fix these days (unless you hire me, I won’t rip you off).
